Feel the Tide by Mumford and Sons

She sits him down in a stiff chair
Rubs his back and strokes his hair
Telling him it's okay to cry
But he just sits and stares

The merciless moon outside
Has nothing now he's come to realize
Only the desolation he feels
The cold distance inside

x
But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it's cold inside
Feel the tide turning

x
While the priest just sits and weeps
Lamenting the fact that he can see
Darkness and light in so much detail
He has given himself over

Refusing what he knows to be real
He turns away from every meal
Starving himself of goodness
He doesn't think he can heal

But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it's cold inside
Feel the tide turning

harper's bazaar
"What if I lost all I had?"
Said the stranger to his dad
And the witness was confused
He can't tell what is bad

Instead he runs up to the nearest girl
And he comments on her glorious curls
Says, "Darling come with me
I'll show you a whole new world."

But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it's cold inside
Feel the tide turning

The Real by Nevertheless

Here I am
Tonight
I can't stand
To fight
This feeling of despair
I hide
I wonder are you there?
Sometimes
(Sometimes, we all wonder)
Whoa!
This is you, this is me
Whoa!
This who we're meant to be
We are the real the truth is unchanging
This is a call to hearts that are feeding
Whoa!
So it is
Sometimes
That I feel
This life
Is far beyond repair
But I
I know that you are there
Tonight
(Tonight, I won't give up)
Whoa!
This is you, this is me
Whoa!
This who we're meant to be
We are the real the truth is unchanging
This is a call to hearts that are feeding
Whoa!
Keep on breathing
Don't you let this take you down
Don't stop breathing
Whoa!
This is you, this is me
Whoa!
This who we're meant to be
We are the real the truth is unchanging
This is a call to hearts that are feeding
Whoa!

Hola

Hello everyone,
I'd just like to apologize for the extreme lack of posting lately. I just got (well, i got it like a month ago...) a new laptop, so i've been trying to find time to transfer all of my pictures to my new laptop. So, between that and all of my school work, blogging has been sadly neglected. But, this is the last week of school until february break in which I will be home all day with nothing to do!
Bear with me and stay inspired!

Oh, Wow!

As you know if you have read my other blog, I ADORE skins.
So, I was ecstatic when some girl tagged me in this post.
It is based off of this.
To do this, you must write 12 likes, 1 love, and 8 hates by just changing the non-bolded words.

Abracadabra, Wow!
I like boys with pretty eyes and girls with a sense of humor.
I like vintage clothing and antique jewelry.
I like tootsie roll pops.
I like
walking downtown and discovering shops I've never seen before.
I like reading long books that never end.
I like warm cups of tea and hand built fires.
I like movies that make me think.
I like when my ipod reads my mind and plays exactly what I want it to.
I like lakes and clouds and boats.
I like feeling accomplished.
I like creating a nest with pillows and blankets.
I like my yearly composition notebooks.
I love being the last one awake.
Today, I did homework and watched the Law and Order: SVU marathon.
In some ways, I love everything.
It's less, It's less of a thing to like, it's less distinct, it's less particular.
I like things that I like but I love everything.
There's more choice in like.
Cause even things the worst things have things you love in them.
I don't know what you mean about things I hate.
I hate doing homework.
I hate stressing out.
I hate when people chew too loudly.
I hate finding gray hairs when I'm 17 years old.
I hate not being able to accept who I am.
I hate blurting out things I don't mean.
I hate dirtiness.
I hate saying goodbye to my family.
I hate regretting.
I hate this, wow. Sorry.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening.
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,
Until the other kids knock him down.
When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from me to you
